HONEYBEE'S SWARM WARNING MH, MX, MXJ, WCX, VCX, AAD, RM,
EAC, OJC, OGC
Beauty,
brains, ability, heart, desire and a very determined owner. All
this can be found in Buzz! This Stormy
son, born September 21, 1994, has really defined the phrase "been there, done that"!
There is very little that Buzz has tried and not accomplished -
not as far as we can tell.
Buzz is
outgoing and enthusiastic in all his endeavors, be it the show ring,
in the field, on an agility course, or out for a romp in the woods.
He is truly what a Golden Retriever should be!
Buzz's outstanding
feature is his temperament; sweet and loving, but he also has a
strong work ethic combined with high trainability and desire to
please. Read on...

Talented in the
field, he has a strong drive to retrieve, a good nose, is
an excellent marker with good natural memory, and loves to
swim at any time of the year. He started his field career
with a 1st place at the Potomac Valley GRC's Puppy Stakes
at the age of 6 months. He completed his Junior Hunter title
in four straight tests and his Working Certificate on his
first try, before his second birthday.
Buzz earned a WCX
at the 2000 Eastern Regional, and started an electric collar
program early in 2001. He completed his Senior Hunter title
with an extra leg in two short months of competition in the
fall of 2001, and spends the winter hunting duck and geese.
He is currently competing for his Master Hunter title (recently
got his first leg) and running in Qualifying stakes in licensed
field trials

A dog with
all-around talents, he was the first recipient of the Chesapeake
Golden Retriever Club's versatility trophy in 1996. Shown only
sparingly in the Bred-By-Exhibitor class, he won the first point
towards his championship in May 1997 at the Union County Kennel
Club show, again from the Bred-By class. He was then shown to
his championship in 1998, finishing in a few short months with
two 4-point majors and a 3-point major. |

Buzz has
also proven to be an excellent agility competitor; he was the first
Golden breed champion to complete the AKC MX,MXJ titles; he also
has USDAA Advanced Agility Dog and Relay Masters titles with 5 of
7 legs towards the Master Agility Dog, a NADAC Standard Excellent
title, a NADAC Open Gamblers title, and a NADAC Open Jumpers title.
Many legs have been with placements. He also has qualified for and
competed in the AKC Agility Nationals in 1998, 1999 and 2000.
Buzz continues his winning ways even in his veteran years! Buzz truly honored us all by competing in the Veteran Sweepstakes class at the Chesapeake Golden Retriever Club Specilaty show on April 30, 2005 - and earning the rosette for Best Veteran in Sweepstakes under breeder-judge Tammy Tomlinson! Buzz then competed in the Best of Breed competition, winning the Best of Opposite Sex ribbon as well under breeder-judge Michael Faulkner!
The very next weekend Buzz was doing what he loves to do - retrieving!
Buzz, competing with the youngsters in the Hunt Test at the Labrador Retriever Club of the Patomac on May, 8th, 2005, earned his Master Hunter title.
As far as we know - there is nothing that Buzz cannot do! And he will never let a few gray hairs stop him! |
