It has been a great fall season for the Malagold kids!

Malagold's On The Rocks (Rocky) once again takes the first place ribbon in the Bred By Exhibitor class and goes on to take home the ribbons for Winners Dog and Best of Winners.

While in the ladie's competition...

Our little Sweetie (Malagold's Everlasting Love) wins the Bred By Exhibitor class on this day and then watches Cricket2 (Malagold's Cricket Two) compete in the Open class, taking first place! Cricket2 then goes on to take Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex honors as well.

These girls do know how to show off for the folks, don't they?!

Today was for the Malagold Girls!

Malagold's On The Rocks (Rocky) takes the first place ribbon in a very large Bred By Exhibitor class and goes on to take home the Reserve Winners Dog ribbon! Not too shabby.

But today was the day for the Malagold Girls as the girls are also in the ribbons today big time!

Malagold's Let It Snow (Snow) wins her 12-18 month Puppy bitch class. But it is our little Sweetie (Malagold's Everlasting Love) that takes home the BIG ribbons and the FOUR POINT MAJOR win from the Bred By Exhibitor class! Sweetie earns both Winners Bitch and Best of Winners for the major points!

And THAT is how the GIRLS DO IT at Malagold!

The Malagold kids were at it again - this time heading off to Indiana for some fun!

Malagold Ladies Luv Cntry Boys (Ryder) gets the first place ribbon from the 9-12 month Puppy dog class. Malagold's On The Rocks (Rocky) takes another first place ribbon in the in the 12-18 month Junior dog class, going on to take Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed, and add another point to his ever accumulating tally towards his CH title. Baby Ryder is letting everyone know he is coming along just fine, as he is heading home with the Reserve Winners Dog ribbons! Not too bad for a couple of youngsters!

The Girls are also in the ribbons today as Malagold's Let It Snow (Snow) wins her 9-12 month Puppy bitch and little Sweetie (Malagold's Everlasting Love) takes second place in the Open bitch class and takes home the Reserve Winners Bitch ribbons.

It was another good day for the Malagold young'uns!!

It was a great day for the Malagold crew -

Malagold's On The Rocks (Rocky) takes first place in the 15-18 month puppy dog sweeps class. The Malagold girls are in the sweeps ribbons as well, as Malagold's Fast Cars N Freedom (Hemi) takes first place in the 9-12 month puppy bitch class, followed by Malagold's Let It Snow (Snow) with the second place ribbon. But experience is the clincher here and Rocky takes another Best in Puppy Sweepstakes rosette home to hang on the wall.

Goodness continues as Rocky goes on to compete in the regular classes, earning the first place ribbon in the 12-18 month Junior Dogs class, and takes the rosette for Winners Dog for 4 points. Well on his way to that championship title!

The Girls continue to stay in the ribbons -

9-12 month puppy - Malagold's Fast Cars N Freedom (Hemi) - first place
9-12 month puppy - Malagold's Let It Snow (Snow) second place
Bred By Exhibitor bitch - Malagold's Everlasting Love (Sweetie) - second place
Open bitch - Malagold's Cricket Two (Cricket) - fourth place

All in all - a good showing for the Malagold crew!

The Malagold Girls continue their winning streak -

Malagold's Everlasting Love earned first place in the Bred By Exhibitor bitch class. And Malagold's Cricket Two repeated her previous win with her first place win from the Open bitch class, and Winners Bitch and Best of Oppositte honors for another point!

Way to go, Sweetie and Cricket!! Girls Rule!!

It was "Girl's Day Out" when only the Malagold Girls spent the day at the dog show. Three girls came home with three blue ribbons, with Cicket adding another point to her tally towards her "CH" title!

Malagold's Everlasting Love took the blue ribbon in the Bred By Exhibitor bitch class. Malagold's Let It Snow earned the first place and Reserve Winners Bitch from the 9-12 Month Puppy bitch class. And Malagold's Cricket Two had a handfull of ribbons to carry home, with her first place win from the Open bitch class, and Winners Bitch and Best of Oppositte honors!

U-CH and AKC CH. Malagold Stone Sour adds "NAJ" to his list of titles.

An outgoing and eye-catching show dog, Stoney is also making his mark in the Agility ring!! With three qualifying scores in a row, Stoney has earned his Novice Agility Jumper title, with two first place ribbons and two perfect scores, and a second placement ribbon with a score of 95 out of 100!

This Malagold boy has versatility and more!

Stoney's turn on this day! Malagold Stone Sour takes a 5 point major win, going Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the White River Golden Retriever Club Specialty Show on Saturday, May 12th, 2007!!

But not to be outdone, his sister, Malagold's Wine and Roses, keeps herself in the ribbons by taking Winners Bitch for a 4 point major win and then goes Best of Oppostie Sex!! What a thrilling day for our "Cheers" kids.

Malagold's Country Sunshine, already a Certified Therapy Dog, is now going after her an AKC obedience title. Sunshine earned the first leg towards her Rally Nivice title today at the Rally Trial in Kalamazoo!

Congratulations to Sunshine and her handler, Deb Caulkin, on taking this first step!

The third day of a great show weekend!

And this was Stoney's day. Rocky wins his 6-9 Puppy Dog class and Stoney wins the Bred By Exhibitor Dog class.

But today, Stoney is in the points, earning two points by going Winners Dog and Best of Winners today. This brings Stony's total points up to 8. Halfway to that Championship title!

Stoney then continues in the competition of the day, winning Best Bred By Exhibitor Golden Retriever, and earning a Bred By Exhibitor Sporting Group 3 Rosette!!

All in all - a fantastic weekend for the Malagold Boys!

Coming from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, through Chicago and Indiana, across Michigan to Detroit was truly a long drive! But worth every mile!

Once again, Rocky - Malagold's On The Rocks - wins the 6-9 Puppy Dog class and Stoney - Malagold's Stone Sour - wins the Bred-By-Exhibitor class and Baby Flag - Malagold's Wave to the Flag - takes the second place ribbon from the Open Dog class.

And it is Rocky that takes the Reserve Winners Dog honors yet again! This little boy is on his way to a very bright future, there is no doubt about it.

But - it gets even better.

Rocky is awarded Best Golden Retriever Puppy and earns the right to compete in the Sporting Group Puppy competition. And the judge points to Rocky, awarding him the First Place Rosette as the winner of the Puppy Sporting Group. After a little nap, Rocky goes on to compete in the Best Puppy in Show competition and WINS!! Rocky earns the Best Puppy In Show Rosette.

What a HUGE honor for the Malagold family! And for Rocky!

This was the start of a very busy weekend for the Malagold Crew, who drove from Michigan in a March blizzard, through the Chicago traffic, in whiteout conditions, to bring home the ribbons!

Rocky (Malagold's On The Rocks) competes again from the 6-9 Puppy Dog class, and take the first place ribbon. Stoney (Malagold's Stone Sour) wins the Bred-By-Exhibitor class.

The boys compete head to head for the points, with Stoney taking home the points this time going Winners Dog for a 4 point major win, with baby Rocky taking the Reserve Winners Dog honors again!

What a terrific twosome these boys are!

What an honor to be in the ribbons and the points at such a great specialty show!

It certainly does not get much better than this! We are all SO proud!

Rocky - Malagold's On The Rocks has another win from the 6-9 Puppy Dog class.
Stoney - Malagold's Stone Sour wins the Bred-By-Exhibitor class.
Denver - Malagold Cedar's Country Road wins the American Bred class.

But the first place ribbons were not enough for these boys - Denver takes home the points on this day by going Winners Dog, with baby Rocky taking the Reserve Winners Dog honors!

But then here come the girls -

Sweetie - Malagold's Everlasting Love takes the first place ribbon in her puppy class while....
Cricket Two - Malagold's Cricket Two wins her Open class, and then goes on to take the points for Winners Bitch. But the beautiful puppy, Sweetie, is right beside her at the podium, earning the Reserve Winners Bitch honors!

And the girls do continue to rule at Malagold as Cricket continues her winning ways, going Best of Winners and Best of Breed - over specials as well.

To top it all off - the Malagold Schipperke - yes, the little black dog - Malagold Funinthe Sun De Lamer is a NEW CHAMPION! Hottie, as she is affectionately known, completed her AKC Championship today going Winners Bitch. She earned her CH title in just four shows - with four major wins.

What a great day for the entire Malagold crew!

Rocky then competes for the Best of Breed - Golden Retriever Puppy and WINS!! Rocky then napped throughout the afternoon until the Puppy Sporting Group started, so he was quite the relaxed little boy and sailed through the competition to earn a Puppy Group 2 ribbon! What a big win for Rocky at his first dog show ever!

Scoring his first points towards his championship title is the up and commer - Malagold's Stone Sour (Stoney). Stoney won the Bred-By-Exhibitor Dog class, and then took the ribbons for Winners Dog and Best of Winners, earning him two points towards his title!

United Kennel Club Kalamazoo, MI

A great day of competition at the United Kennel Club events - this time attending a Premiere Show. The Malagold gang had a wonderful day!

Maltcairne's Kiss to Malagold (Kiss) - Best Female
Malagold's Stone Sour (Stoney) - Best Male

...and it was Malagold's Stone Sour that takes it all - going Best of Breed on this day, as well as completing his UKC Championship! Stoney also went on to earn a third place ribbon in the Gun Dog Group competition.

Our little Miss Kiss is now halfway towards her UKC Championship title, so look for her to complete that in the spring.

Not to be left out of the ribbons is AKC/UKC CH. Spearit's Hunter O'Hare - a 15-inch Beagle, owned by Klaranne Spearbraker, who went Best of Breed and on to a Group 2 placement in the Hound Group, This win earned Hunter the second leg towards his UKC Grand Championship title. Congrats to Klaranne and Hunter!

NEW CHAMPION!!

Malagold Augusta's Genuine Article SH (Levi) finishes his Championship title in a big way by going Winners Dog and Best of Winners for a FOUR POINT MAJOR win!

Levi completed his Senior Hunter (SH) title in September of 2005, took a little break and then worked on finishing that show championship title. And Levi did that with THREE major wins!

Watch for more on Levi as he and Kathryn Bornhofen work towards that Master Hunter title this coming spring. Should be an exciting time for the both of them!

It was a very nice trip to Illinois for the Golden Retriever Club of Illinois specialty show and a great event for all the Malagold puppies to attend.

Malagold's Wave To The Flag (Baby Flag) earned his third Best in Sweepstakes win. What a great honor for Baby Flag (pictured below, left).

Malagold's Everlasting Love (Sweetie) was Reserve Winners Bitch from the 9-12 month Puppy Bitch class. What a great win for the little Malagold "sweetheart". (Sweetie is pictured above, right)
