This was a fantastic win for Stoney (UKC and AKC CH. Malagold's Stone Sour RE, OA, AXJ, CGC), on December 4, 2010, as he earns the Best of Breed honors over a very nice Golden entry and going on to earn a Sporting Group 3 rosette!!

What a huge thrill for the Malagold Family!

At the same show, Bailey (Malagold Bailye's Irish Creme) earns two points towards her Championship title by going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex to Stoney, while Miss Snow (Malagold's Let It Snow RE) took Reserve Winners Bitch honors!

Malagold's Winter Storm Fairy adds the "X" to her current TD title after completing the track laid for her in the Tracking Excellent competition.

Winnie and her handler/owner, Kathy Goodman, successfully ignoring both crosstracks, twice crossing the two-lane dirt road, encountering an additional road crossing, traversing through high cover and woods, Winnie captured the coveted TDX title in a time of twenty minutes flat!

Congratulations to Winnie, TDX!! What an amazing accomplishment for this outstanding team!

White River Golden Retriever Specialty Club Weekend Lebanon, IN

It was a great weekend for the Malagold Crew as they attended the White River Golden Retriever Club Specialty weekend held in Lebanon, Indiana (May 15 and 16).

On the first day, UKC GRCH and CAN/AM CH Malagold's Wave To The Flag (Flag Jr) earned a Judges Award of Merit while competing in the Best of Breed class. He also was awarded the "Select Dog" honors, which gave him his first major points towards the new AKC Grand Championship title!

The second day of competition was even more exciting, as our little Bailey (Malagold Bailye's Irish Creme) earned a 5 point major win by going Winners Bitch from the American Bred Bitch class! And topping his accomplishment from the previous day, Flag Jr wins Specialty Best of Breed honors on the day!

What a fun weekend for the entire Malagold rew!! Congratulations to everyone!

It was the second day of shows for the Malagold Crew.

Malagold's Rain Storm (Rain) was again shown in the Puppy Bitch 6-9 Month Class and won another first place ribbon!

Wish, a Big Flag daughter, put in another fantastic performance, and Malagold's Wish Upon A Star was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Breed. today! And with a very exciting Best of Opposite Sex win going to Flag Jr (UKC GRCH and CAN/AM CH Malagold's Wave To The Flag), a Big Flag son, it was another great day for the Malagold kids!

Wish takes the points and the Breed, and Rain earns the Reserve Winners ribbon!

Malagold is very proud of the accomplishments of the Big Flag kids! Congratulations to everyone on a wonderful weekend!

Hanging around in Michigan for a dog shw can be a really fun thing to do and that was the plan for this weekend. And what a good plan it was!

Malagold's Rain Storm (Rain) was shown in the Puppy Bitch 6-9 Month Class and won first place!

Then it was Wish's turn in the ring, and Malagold's Wish Upon A Star was Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex, earning another point towards her Championship title!

It was an amazing win for Malagold's Straight Up (JR), who was Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Breed today (over Specials, too!) for his first point!! All this for the youngster coming out of the Bred By Exhibitor Dog Class!

What a great day it was in Michigan, where the girls showed the boys how it is done!

Malagold's Rain Storm was shown in her first dog show and handily won the Puppy Bitch 6-9 Month Class!

Next up was Malagold's Wish Upon A Star who earned her first points - a 3 point MAJOR win by going Winners Bitch, Best of Winners AND Best of Breed over specials!

Our beautiful girl went on to compete in the Sporting Group and took home the rosette for a GROUP THREE placement!

What an outstanding accomplishment for our girls! Who could ever "Wish" for anything better than that!!

Stoney is having fun in the Rally competition and has completed the requirements for his latest title - Rally Excellent!! As usual, Stoney completed his title in the ribbons, earning a Fourth place rosette and the title on the same day!

Kalamazoo Kennel Club Kalamazoo, MI

Sunshine and her owner, Deb Caukin, had a wonderful day as Sunshine completed the final leg of her Rally Advanced Excellent title today. And what an amazing accomplishment this is for Sunshine and Deb!!

Upon completion of the Rally Excellent title for Sunshine, Deb and Sunshine continued further in the Rally competition in order to earn the highest Rally title available - the Rally Advanced Excellent. In order to do this, qualifying scores needed to be accumulated from BOTH the Rally Advanced B class and the Rally Excellent B class ON THE SAME DAY in order to earn the Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE) title. These wins had to be accomplished at 10 separate licensed or member rally trials.

What dedication by this team in order to accomplish such a goal. And they did it!! Congratulations to Deb and Sunshine - Malagold's Country Sunshine, RAE!

It was a long drive to Louisville and very worth the time, as the Malagold gang had fun in Kentucky!

Malagold's Straight Up (JR) - first place in 9-12 Month Puppy Dog Class

Malagold's Single Kiss (Singer) - first place in the 12-18 Month Puppy Bitch Class

Malagold Bailye's Irish Creme (Bailey) - first place in the Bred By Exhibitor Bitch Class and Reserve Winners Bitch to a nice major

And we cannot leave out the BIG BOY -

UKC and AKC CH. Malagold's Stone Sour RA, OA, AXJ, CGC - Stoney - takes Best of Breed over an entry of 90 total Goldens!!

Way to go, Stoney!! A great Breed win at the Kentucky Cluster! And a great showing by all the Malagold kids!

Golden Retriever Club of America National Specialty Enid, OK

It is what we all look forward to every year, and this year was no exception! It was a long drive for Geri and Connie, and the Malagold crew brought an exceptionally wonderful showing to the National this year bringing home some lovely wins!

Bailey (Malagold Bailye's Irish Creme) - second place in the Puppy Sweepstakes 15-18 Month Bitch class. A very nice placement out of an entry of thirteen!

Levi (CH. Malagold Augusta's Genuine Article CD, MH, WC ) - wins the Hunting Retriever Dog Class! How exciting for Kathryn and Levi to win this class at the National Specialty! This takes Levi back into the ring for the Best of Breed competition.

So on to the Best of Breed competition which includes
- Flag Jr (UKC GRCH and CAN/AM CH Malagold's Wave To The Flag)
- Stoney (UKC and AKC CH. Malagold's Stone Sour RA, OA, AXJ)
- and of course, Levi.

All three of the Malagold boys make it to the final cut out of a grand total of approximately 114 dogs and bitches, with Levi and Stoney each earning a Judges Award of Merit. What an honor having two JAMs from the GRCA National this year!

It was a beautiful day in Danby, Vermont, with the dramatic backdrop of Mt. Tabor framing the valley.

Malagold's Winter Storm Fairy begins her tracking test, leading the way! Winnie, and her owner, Kathy Goodman, run the 450 yard test track in five minutes without hesitation

Winnie completes a perfect run, earning her Tracking Dog title, and celebrate the end of her track with an exuberant roll in the grasses!!

Winnie, TD, is ready for the next adventure!
