Malagold
hits the Illinois jackpot!
Malagold
had a great day at the Golden Retriever Club of Illinois Specialty
show on November 16, 2002, under judge Gloria Kerr.
The
beautiful Stormy son, Gunner (Top Hat's Firestorm) took the second
place ribbon from an open class of 14 dogs! Count (Malagold's Stand
N' Be Counted) wins the Bred-By-Exhibitor class to compete against
his house mate, Cheers (Malagold's Toast To Davenport), who won
the first place ribbon from the 9-12 Puppy Dog class, with Cheers'
littermate, Rio (Malagold Top Hat Rio De Vino) bringing home the
fourth place ribbon in the same class. Our Crackle puppy bests Count
today for the points, going Winners Dog, for a 4-point major! What
an exciting competition for the boys!
But
don't count the girls out of the running! Cheers' sister, Dee Dee
(Malagold's Davenport Dry) goes on to win the 9-12 Puppy Bitch class.
Shiraz (Malagold's Shiraz) enjoyed herself in the Bred-By-Exibitor
class and came in third place - a really nice showing.
The
girls prevail on this day, though, and Cricket (Ch. Highmark Malagold
By Jiminy!) walks all over the competition by going Best of Breed!
This girl is the one to watch!

Count and Gunner
had to wake up early! Prepping for the show - first thing in the
morning and they haven't had their cafe' latte yet!
But I do believe
that they have had a Krispy Kreme snack already!

Connie
and Teri paying such close attention, while Count thinks of other
things!
|
|
Rio - paying
such close attention to his mom, Denise Werner.

Top Hat's
Firestorm (Gunner), a Stormy
son, owned by Denise and Kurt Werner, working hard for Teri.

Connie with
Dee Dee, littermate to Cheers and Rio, showing in the 9-12 Puppy
Bitch class.
She already
knows what she is doing!
|
|
Teri with
Shiraz, owned by Sandi Sproull, Geri Hart and Teri, in the Bred-By-Class.
Shiraz is
showing off her famous "wiggle"!
|
Cheers, having
gone Winners Dog from the 9-12 Month Puppy Dog class, is getting
ready for his "show shot". He had better get used to
this!
What a great
start to his show career!

Cricket
- Best of Breed over the boys!
What
a special girl we have and we are anxious to watch her continue
her winning ways - she is a stunner!

A most special
occasion occurred at the Golden Retriever Club of Illinois Specialty
on this day. Connie spent some time with a Corey
(BIS BISS CH Malagold Libra Coriander SDHF, OS) daughter, Krisos
Ishtar O'Luckytop.
Krisos was born
May 9th, 1988, and at 14 years of age, had a wonderful time visiting
with everyone, working that Veterans Bitch class and just being
a charmer!
